Who’s Behind CLiK

Scott Norris

Chief Executive Officer

s.norris@clikllc.com

Scott Norris brings more than 35 years of experience serving his community as an officer with the Owensboro Police Department, alongside a lifelong passion for carpentry and construction.

Before joining the police force, Scott owned and operated a flooring company from 1988 to 1991, later expanding into broader construction projects. He went on to design and build multiple custom homes, blending craftsmanship with an eye for practical, safe solutions.

It was during this time that Scott envisioned a safer, easier method for installing lighting and ceiling fans. Partnering with a local tooling company, he developed the first Clik prototype — an idea that went on to win the Bucks for Bright Ideas Contest. With support from Owensboro Community and Technical College for 3D printing and CAD design, Scott and his partners refined the concept, ultimately securing patents and a trademark for CLIK – the Complete Lighting Installation Kit.
